Job Description:

The Estimator is responsible for analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction projects. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, sales, and production teams to ensure estimates are precise, competitive, and aligned with customer requirements. MUST be Proficient with SolidWorks- You will be creating and managing Bill of Materials (BOM) using SolidWorks and/or other CAD tools. This is a NO drama shop, requiring good attendance and work ethics.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site visits.
Analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive pricing strategies.
Collaborate with project management teams to ensure accurate estimates are provided for bidding purposes.
Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to streamline the estimation process.
Conduct regular reviews of project costs and budgets to maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in contract negotiations by providing detailed pricing breakdowns and justifications.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to provide competitive estimates.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents effectively.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
Experience in cost control measures within the construction industry is a plus.
Knowledge of project management principles is beneficial.
