Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an
organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve
as Medical Card Hotline/Foster Care & Adoption Records Supervisor.
Under direction, this position will analyze, evaluates, and
implements policies and procedures for the Agency's Medical Card
Hotline and Foster Care and Adoptions Records. The position will
plan for program needs and serve as working supervisor of
subordinate paraprofessional staff. This position will also review
and determine whether children are enrolled with an appropriate
managed care plan based on DCFS case type. This position is a great

families. Essential Functions Serves as Medical Card Hotline/Foster
Care and Adoptions Records Supervisor Serves as working supervisor
Reviews and determines whether children are enrolled with an
appropriate managed care plan based on DCFS case type Utilizing
knowledge of DCFS eligibility rules and practices, provides
technical support to foster/adoptive parents with pharmacy,
pre-authorization, and medical billing issues Conducts training for
new staff regarding the navigation of multiple computer systems and
the interpretation of information contained therein Confers with
management and recommends establishment or revision of policies and
procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of
administration of the Medical Card Hotline Performs other duties as
required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the
duties enumerated above Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge,
skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four
years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public
administration Requires one year of responsible administrative
experience in a public or business organization or completion of an
agency approved professional management training program
Specialized Skills Of the previously noted year of experience,
requires that the experience include the application of Medicaid
rules, regulations, and requirements Preferred Qualifications 1
year of experience applying Medicaid rules, regulations, and
requirements in a public or business organization 2 years of
experience managing or working in a hotline setting for a public or
business organization 1 year of experience working with computer
systems such as CYCIS, IES, or MMIS in a public or business
organization 1 year of experience supervising staff in a public or
business organization 2 years of experience exercising judgment and
discretion in developing, implementing, and interpreting
departmental policies and procedures in a public or business
organization 2 years of experience analyzing administrative
problems and adopting an effective course of action in a public or
