The Network Administrator – (IP) Provisioning position encompasses
a high level of technical ability including IP subnetting, the
ability to provision TelePacific core and distribution routers, and
troubleshooting 2nd and 3rd level connectivity issues for our data
customers. Furthermore the Network Administrator will keep the
Internet Operations Center updated on all configuration changes,
troubleshooting techniques, and Internet connectivity issues and
upgrades in general.

Delivery

•Communicate with the engineering department before, during, and
after installations that require advanced configurations and/or the
implementation of VPN or firewall capability to support the
customer?s requirements.
•Assign and program IP configuration for customer installation
orders
•Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper and other switches and
routers
•Provide support to customers and vendors during new
installations
•Work with various customer and support groups in diagnosing
service related problems
•Troubleshoot WAN connections
•Troubleshoot router configuration
•Recognition of potential network bottlenecks and other trouble
areas
•Maintain service delivery timeframes and processes in a
multi-system environment.
•Process basic order entry data and distribute tasks within the
Service Delivery department through ticketing and task tool
•Efficiently handle a high volume of orders
•Communicate order progress with Coordinators, Field Operations and
Management
•Identify order concerns, issues and escalate appropriately
•Maintain data reports related to translations task and order
status
•Review and suggest changes to Circuit Design against facilities
database to ensure Customer stability during install
•Adhere to Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI)
regulations to protect all Customers? privacy rights
•Know and adhere to all TelePacific product and process
guides
•Execute suspensions and restorations within two (2) hours of
assignment during normal business hours
•Provide a professional and positive experience to both internal
and external TelePacific Customers.
•Assist with creation of ad hoc reports as needed.
•Support Service Delivery Department in achieving Corporate revenue
goals.
•Report contractual challenges for general contract
compliance.
•Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
•Other duties as assigned.
(A) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or
equivalent experience, and
(B) Graduation from an accredited four year college or university,
and
(C) Two (2) year of ISP level telecommunications experience,
or
(D) Any equivalent combination of certification, education and
experience
•Detailed understanding of the function and configuration of
Cisco/Juniper networking equipment
•Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper
switches and routers
•Advanced operational knowledge of virtual local area networks
(VLAN), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Enhanced Interior Gateway
Routing Protocol (EIGRP)
•Advanced understanding of IP addressing, including
subnetting
•Functional understanding of Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol and related network services
•Understanding of TCP/IP configuration within various operating
systems.
•Exceptional time management and organization skills
•Demonstrated proficiency with billing software, Microsoft Word,
Excel, personal computers, calculator, telephone, copier and fax
machines
•Candidate must be comfortable in a fast paced environment, execute
tasks with minimal supervision and accept change with a positive
outlook
•Must be able to read, write and speak English

machine.
